We Believe in the Bible

We Believe in the Triune God

We Believe in God the Father

We Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ

We Believe in the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Triune God; that He was the divine Agent in nature, revelation, and redemption; that He convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, and indwells, baptizes, seals, empowers, guides, teaches, and sanctifies all who become children of God through Christ; and that He bestows spiritual gifts upon each believer for the common good (Matt. 28:19; Acts 5:3–4; Gen. 1:2; Psalm 104:30; 1 Cor. 2:10; 2 Cor. 3:18; John 16:8–14; John 3:5; 1 Cor. 6:19; 12:13; Eph. 4:30; 3:16; Rom. 8:14; John 14:26; 1 Cor. 6:11; 1 Cor. 12:7–11).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sin of the world; that He rose from the dead; and that he ascended into heaven to appear before God the Father as our Advocate and Intercessor; We believe that salvation is the free gift of God that is received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Isa. 53:5–6; Matt. 20:28; Gal. 3:13; John 1:29; Luke 24:36–43; John 20:25–28; Heb. 4:14; 9:24; 1 John 2:1; Rom. 3:24; 6:23; John 3:16; 6:28–29; Acts 16:30–31; Eph. 2:8–9).

We Believe in Righteous Living and Good Works

We believe in righteous living and good works as a way of life for a believer, not as a way of salvation; we believe that spiritual gifts are given to believers for the purpose of ministry; we believe in prayer as having fellowship with God and as a sincere desire to be open to God’s divine will and power; we believe in works of mercy in order to bring relief to those who are suffering (1 John 3:9–11; 4:19; 5:4; Eph. 2:8–10; Titus 2:14; Matt. 7:16–18; 1 Cor. 15:10; Rom. 12:1–2; 12:3–8; 1 Cor. 12:1–11; 1 Pet. 4:10–11; Eph. 4:11–13; Matt. 6:5–15; Gal. 6:9–10; Luke 10:25–37).

We Believe in the One True Church

We believe that the one true church is the spiritual body and bride of Christ and is composed of all true believers; the local church is an organization of believers who band together to fulfill the Great Commission through worship, instruction in the Word of God, fellowship, and evangelism; we believe that as a local community of believers we share in the ordinances of baptism and communion (Eph. 4:4; 5:25–32; Matt. 16:16–18; Acts 2:42–47; Rom. 12:5; 1 Cor. 12:12–27; Gal. 3:26–29; Eph. 1:20–23; 4:3–10; Col. 3:14–15; Matt. 28:19–20; 1 Cor. 11:23–26).

We Believe in the Second Coming of Christ

We Believe in Future Life, Bodily Resurrection, and Future Judgment

We believe that at death the saved go immediately to be with Christ in heaven until His second coming, when their bodies shall be raised from the grave and changed into the likeness of His own glorious body. We believe that the spirits of the unsaved at death descend immediately into Hades where they are kept under punishment until the final day of judgment, at which time their bodies shall be raised from the grave, they shall be judged according to their works, and cast into the place of final and everlasting punishment; we believe that the present heaven and earth will pass away and that God will create a new heaven and a new earth (Phil. 1:21–23; 2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 3:20–21; 1 Cor. 15:35–58; 1 John 3:2; Luke 16:19–31; 2 Pet. 2:9; Rev. 20:11–15; 21:8; Mark 9:43–48; Jude 13; Isa. 65:17; Rev. 21:1–2).
